Chatbot vs concierge: how to pick an AI assistant
Conversation quality and personal assistance are different products. Ranking them as one thing is how the internet got confused.
A chatbot answers. A concierge completes. The industry collapsed those two jobs into the word “assistant,” which is why every model launch claims to be the only one you will ever need.

Three tests
First: after the reply, is the task finished? If you still have to copy, paste, book, and text the other parent, you used a chatbot.

Third: does it live where the request already is? A brilliant app you forget to open is a worse assistant than a good one in WhatsApp or iMessage.
