The case
Ollie is the U.S.-shaped version of a family concierge: it lives in iMessage and SMS, which is still how most American parents talk to each other. It watches calendar and inbox, plans meals, and takes the mental load in a group text with a partner, nanny, or kids. Capture is strong. Closing the loop — the RSVP, the order, the ride — is less complete than Zazu.
iMessage-first is a real U.S. advantage. School flyers still have to be captured.
- Best for
- American families who will not leave iMessage
- Not for
- Parents who need the invitation handled end-to-end
- Pricing (U.S.)
- Free to start; usage-based paid
- Platforms
- iMessage · SMS
Where it wins
- iMessage and SMS — the default U.S. family channel
- Group text with partner, nanny, and kids
- Calendar and inbox context without a new home-screen icon
- Does not train on family data, per the company
Where it lags
- Follow-through is lighter than a true concierge
- Usage-based pricing is harder to explain at the kitchen table
- Less of a shared visual calendar than Cozi or Maple
