Household follow-through vs generalist
ChatGPT drafts the permission slip explanation, researches summer camps, builds a meal plan spreadsheet, and (with agents) can attempt computer-use tasks for one user. It thinks in threads and custom instructions more than in a shared family graph. There is no native product path for two parents and a school calendar to share one working memory of who owns pickup.
Zazu does not pretend to be the best writer. Forward the invite or school email in WhatsApp. It proposes who can take it and what must move, waits for an adult to choose, then RSVPs, assigns the next step, updates calendars, and loops people in. Human concierge is available when the model should step back.

Whenever I ask it to do something, it just… does… No follow-up questions like ‘Where do I find that?’ or ‘Okay, but which one?’—it just DOES.

ChatGPT hasn’t magically made parenting easy (nothing can), but it has made my day-to-day life easier, given me some time back, and I’ll take that. / What it’s really helped with is the mental load as a parent… It’s not just the big jobs, but the hundred tiny things that need doing every day.
What each still owns
Keep ChatGPT (or Claude, Gemini, etc.) for thinking work. Keep a shared calendar or wall if kids need to see the week. Hire Zazu when the pain is unfinished handoffs — not missing paragraphs.
Stacking is common and honest. Pretending ChatGPT is a family OS is not.
