Kids, 18+, and who is allowed to be a user

Muse’s App Store listing is 18+. That is a product decision, not a footnote. A personal agent that can mail, shop, and operate apps should not be a toy. It also means Muse cannot be the family assistant no matter how well it runs on WhatsApp.

Cozi and Skylight treat children as color-coded people on a week. OurFamilyWizard treats them as subjects of a court order. Khanmigo treats them as students. Character.AI is a companion product under a different kind of scrutiny. One index cannot pretend those are the same child.

What Onyt will not recommend

A general chat model as a nanny. A wearable that records a playground by default. A co-parenting AI that texts the child as if it were a parent. If a vendor does not say whether a minor can hold an account, the profile should say so.

The honest split

Adult agent on a rail. Shared calendar the kids can see. Concierge that asks an adult before it acts. Tutor that is a tutor. Mix them because the word “assistant” is doing too much, and you will ship something a school district cannot touch.
